Log data

Ambiance logs provide detailed information about all events and system activity that occur during installation (or upgrade) and product use. For Support technicians, logs are the principal troubleshooting resource.

Installation logs

The following Installation logs are located on the server by default at: C:\Ambiance Server:

  • MongoInstall (for online communication)
  • SetupServer (primary installation log)

The following Installation log is located on the workstation by default at: C:\Ambiance Server:

  • SetupClient.LOG

Product logs

Multiple logs are stored by default at: C:\ProgramData\dormaKaba\Ambiance\logs

The logs folder organizes log files as follows:

  • FIAS
    •  FIAS.log.txt—Data related to the Ambiance PMS FIAS Windows service.
    • PMSIO.txt—Data related to FIAS PMS key encoding.
  • IRS
    • IRS.log.txt—Data related to the Ambiance PMS IRSPRS Windows service.
    • PMSIO.TXT—Data related to IRS PMS key encoding.
  • IRSAgent—Data related to the Ambiance PMS IRSPRSAgent Windows Service. The IRS Agent serves as an intermediary between PMS IRS and the Ambiance server.
  • PMS.LGS.REST—Data related to the LGS REST API Windows service.
  • PMS.REST.API—Data related to the LGS REST API (KF2) Windows service.
  • PMSAgent—Data related to the Ambiance PMSAgent Windows Service. The PMS Agent serves as an intermediary between all PMSs and the Ambiance server.
  • Services—Data related to the various Ambiance Windows services.
  • Web
    • reportapi.log.txt—Data related to the IIS component report API used to generate reports.
    • webApi.log.txt—Data related to the Ambiance WebAPI Windows service.
  • WS (Web Service)
    • PMSIO.txt—Data related to LGS SOAP API key encoding.
    • WS.log.txt—Data related to the LGS SOAP API Windows service.
